PIROTO – 2008 – THE HIGHLIGHTS
As 2008 draws to an end, we reflect on another successful year for Piroto:
January - Piroto celebrates 35 years in the label industry.
February - Investment of a cold foiling unit to apply high quality gold, silver or holographic metallic effects.
March - Re-organisation and installation of warehouse racking creates additional space for expansion.
April - Development of the BM30 – Piroto’s very own in-house designed tag dispenser.
May - Another carton sealing machine sees our finishing unit become even more efficient.
June - New Area Sales Co-ordinator employed, as predecessor receives internal promotion to Area Sales Manager with development of separate ‘Non-Food’ market division, and employment of a Trainee Printer (fully operational on press in January 2009).
July - Piroto starts to process map, as we embark upon a major project to invest in a new MIS (Management Information System), requiring further recruitment of an Admin/Accounts Assistant.
August - Piroto introduce specialist tags and printers for the fish industry - Call us now to find out more!
September - Rolling 12 month sales hit £4 Million!
October - Creation of a dedicated GMP “Pharma Unit”. (See ‘Continuous Investment’ article for full details).
November - Internal promotion of Area Sales Manager to Pharmaceutical Development Manager, as yet another market division is created.
December - With 2 more Area Sales Managers joining the team in January 2009, along with 2 new major contracts and together with great success in current markets, sales are forecasted to hit £5.5 Million within 3 years.
